From The Silk Ranch, this Sheepy Jumping Spider art print features Oviballus vidae, an unusual jumping spider with a distinctive name and appearance. Jumping spiders are renowned for their excellent vision, compact bodies, and complex hunting behaviors, making them fascinating subjects for natural history artwork.
Illustrated by Mingo X, this biological illustration showcases the spider's body proportions, forward-facing eyes, detailed legs, and fine surface textures. The artwork highlights the structural beauty of a small arachnid while celebrating the diversity of jumping spiders and other lesser-known spider species.
An excellent addition for jumping spider collectors, arachnid enthusiasts, and biological illustration fans.
The original style offers a theme of classic technical illustrations often seen in biological fields via textbooks and other similar scientific media. It includes the common name for the species as well as the most up to date Latin name for the species.
The textless style offers a minimalist artistic style that transforms the natural existence of these wonderful species into decorative art. This style highlights the beauty of the Theraphosidae family without the technical side associated with the classifications.
