From The Silk Ranch, this Red Bark Scorpion art print features Babycurus jacksoni, a striking East African scorpion recognized for its reddish-orange to deep red-brown coloration, contrasting dark markings, and distinctive black-tipped pincers. Also known as the Tanzanian Red Bark Scorpion, this species showcases the remarkable diversity of scorpions, with its segmented body, prominent pedipalps, and curved tail creating a compelling subject for invertebrate artwork.
Illustrated by Mingo X, this biological illustration highlights the scorpion’s detailed exoskeleton, articulated legs, textured pincers, and characteristic tail structure. Carefully rendered anatomical details celebrate the distinctive form and natural beauty of this fascinating arachnid.
An excellent addition for scorpion keepers, exotic arachnid collectors, and enthusiasts of detailed biological illustrations featuring terrestrial invertebrates.
The original style offers a theme of classic technical illustrations often seen in biological fields via textbooks and other similar scientific media. It includes the common name for the species as well as the most up to date Latin name for the species.
The textless style offers a minimalist artistic style that transforms the natural existence of these wonderful species into decorative art. This style highlights the beauty of the Theraphosidae family without the technical side associated with the classifications.
