Commission Info:

By ordering a custom commission from us, you will receive a custom illustration based on the animal you submit. The client is responsible for submitting the images of the animal. 

Species We Accept:

We are currently accepting species that have the body type template completed:

Snakes: Ball Pythons / Boa Constrictors / Burmese Pythons / Green Tree Pythons / Emerald Tree Boas / Kenyan Sand Boas / Western Hognose Snakes 

Lizards & Geckos: Leopard Geckos / Crested Geckos

Frogs: Dart Frogs / Pacman Frogs

Inverts: Tarantulas / Spiders / Centipedes / Scorpions / Other Inverts 

If you are interested in a species that we have not illustrated before, please inquire via email (info@mingoart.com) before ordering the commission. 

Scheduling & Timing: 

We aim to complete & ship your commission within 2 weeks of ordering. Additional transit times apply once shipped, if you are an international client from outside the US, please calculate the timing and allow additional time if buying as a gift! 

We will reach out via email with the finished illustration for confirmation before shipping, please keep an eye out for the email and respond within 3 business days to request edits or reworks. If no confirmation is received, the illustration will be printed and shipped to ensure delivery times. 

Accuracy & Reference: 

While we cannot guarantee the illustration to be 100% accurate to the animal, especially if the illustration involves incredibly complex patterns such as the Granite Burmese Python (we can't guarantee that each dot will be exactly accurate to the animal).

We will try to adhere to the reference and create something that highly resembles the submitted animal. Please note that body proportions of animals change as they age (a baby snake will have a much larger head to body ratio compared to an adult snake), our templates depict mostly juvenile stages of the animals (depending on the species), therefore, we will try our best to fit the pattern into the template without too much distortion. 

If there is a specific part of the animal's pattern you'd like us to replicate accurately (such as a smiley emoji on a pied ball python), please let us know during the initial email and we'd be happy to work on that for you. 

Offering as a Publicly Available Product: 

We may offer the animal illustration from commissions as the representative illustration of a species / morph as a publicly available print / design. The publicly available design will not have any custom modifications (the text will display the animal's common name + scientific name in our standardized format). You can opt out of this via the ordering selection. 

Copyright & Usage Rights: 

All artwork created by Mingo X / The Silk Ranch / The Morph Archive remains the intellectual property and copyright of the artist unless otherwise agreed to in writing. The client is granted a non-exclusive license to use the commissioned artwork for personal or any specifically agreed-upon purposes, but ownership of the copyright is not transferred. Commercial rights—including, but not limited to, reproduction, resale, merchandising, advertising, licensing, or distribution for profit—remain exclusively with the artist unless a separate written commercial licensing agreement is purchased. Any use beyond the granted license requires the artist's prior written permission.

1. Your order number, or the customer name on the order.
2. The species / morph of your animal.
3. Reference images of your animal.
