From The Silk Ranch, this Black Tiger Centipede art print features Scolopendra sp. Black Tiger, an unidentified hobby centipede known by its distinctive common name and striking appearance. The genus Scolopendra includes large, active predatory centipedes recognized for their elongated bodies, powerful forcipules, and numerous articulated legs.
Illustrated by Mingo X, this biological illustration highlights the centipede's segmented anatomy, detailed appendages, and bold overall form. The artwork celebrates the extraordinary structural complexity of these terrestrial predators and the diversity of centipedes represented in the invertebrate hobby.
An excellent addition for myriapod enthusiasts, centipede collectors, and biological illustration fans.
The original style offers a theme of classic technical illustrations often seen in biological fields via textbooks and other similar scientific media. It includes the common name for the species as well as the most up to date Latin name for the species.
The textless style offers a minimalist artistic style that transforms the natural existence of these wonderful species into decorative art. This style highlights the beauty of the Theraphosidae family without the technical side associated with the classifications.
